How You Can Beat The Landfills With Just One Bucket

What Is Project Full Circle?
Our mission is to reduce waste and protect the environment by making composting easy, accessible, and convenient for your community.

The Problem
Americans generate over 290 million tons of waste each year, averaging about 5 pounds per person per day. Much of it ends up in landfills, where food waste and plastic contribute to pollution and environmental harm.
The Solution
All it takes is to separate food waste from other trash - it can make a huge difference.

How Does It Work?
1. To make participation easy, we will provide an airtight 5-gallon bucket along with compostable bags for collecting food waste in your home.

2. Simply dispose of your food waste in the bucket provided.

3. Every week, we will collect your food waste and deliver it to local farms, where it will be transformed into nutrient-rich compost.

Why Compost?
Environmental Benefits
-
Reduces landfill waste: Food scraps and yard waste make up a large portion of trash. Composting keeps this organic material out of landfills.
-
Lowers greenhouse gas emissions: Organic waste in landfills produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Composting significantly reduces this.
-
Improves soil health: Compost adds nutrients, improves soil structure, and increases water retention.
-
Reduces need for chemical fertilizers: Healthier soil means fewer synthetic inputs, which protects waterways and ecosystems.
Convenience & Household Benefits
-
Easy and low-effort: Pickup services remove the need to manage a compost pile yourself.
-
Odor and pest control: Properly managed pickup composting reduces smells and discourages pests compared to trash bins.
-
Saves time and space: Ideal for apartments, condos, or homes without yards.
-
Clear guidelines: Many services accept food scraps, bones, coffee grounds, and compostable packaging that backyard composting often can’t process.
Economic Benefits
-
Potential cost savings: Can reduce trash volume and lower garbage collection costs for municipalities.
-
Adds value to gardens and farms: Finished compost can be used locally.
-
Avoids landfill expansion costs: Extends the life of existing landfills.
